Aluminum (Al) is remarkable for the metal's low density and its ability to resist corrosion through the phenomenon of passivation. Al and its alloys are vital to the aerospace industry and important in transportation and structures, such as building facades and window frames.
In metallurgy, stainless steel (SUS), also known as inox steel or inox from French inoxydable, is a steel alloy with a minimum of 10.5% chromium content by mass. SUS does not readily corrode, rust or stain with water as ordinary steel does.
